Does anyone know of any pads with similar compound to the Plazmatic or Heatsink pads, but with a non threaded post?
My current brake booster setup:

Pads are salmon Koolstops, and the rim is a Duralectra.
..and with a one finger trigger I still occasionally slip on abubacas.
I want trials brakes.

Phat Pads work damn well, even though they're wider than the rim.
I use the black Kool Stop MTB pads at the moment; they work like a charm. I doubt they're available unthreaded, though.

I used PHat Pads on my Hazard Lites...until the shafts bent.
I now use Odyssey 2x4's...much stronger shafts.

I've actually got some original black unthreaded koolstops kicking around in a box of my old MTB stuff from the 90s.
Perhaps I'll sand em off and give them another chance. I seem to recall the salmons working better though.
I guess I'll have to upgrade the brake arms if I want to try out the plazmatics then..
How slammed are you running your rear wheel?

Its not slammed, but close.
I would have to file the dropout and put a half link in, if I wanted to move the brake pad closer to the pivot point.
Leverage isn't my problem though. Its just the coefficient of friction.. or lack of.
I'll try simple greening my rim tonight, to see if that helps as well.

For Koolstop, salmon is the best. My Ody 2x4's work just as good. But then again, I have chrome rims...
