I have a new crank that i would like to install. Should i change the bb as well?

whats the old crank, whats the new crank, whats the bb you have now?

it is an old road campy nuovo crank and bb. the new crank is a a miche primato

I don't think you need a new bb. The taper on the cranks are the same. The spindle length might throw your chainline off a little, though you can redish your wheel or use some spacers.
