For all you commuters in not-so-friendly cycling areas...

WEAR A HELMET.

I got buzzed by a car tonight and went over the bars. Cracked my helmet and STILL suffered a concussion.

Saved my f'ing life. No joke.

I had a bad spill a while ago.
Went back to "the scene" to try to reconstruct the events and found a 3" Wide by 8" long blue stripe on the street. Since the bike involved was red I ignored the stripe until my buddy pointed out the fact that my hemet was blue....Yea, that would have been skin......
Enjoy

Yeah. People should either wear a helmet or not crash. Free choice. I do the latter;)

I would've picked the latter if I had the choice! Too bad I live in "I have no idea what to do when a cyclist is in the road" PHX, AZ and commute via bicycle.

No joke though. I'd never owned one until about 3 weeks ago when I got one for my birthday. Crazy stuff. I feel like I should go out and buy a Powerball ticket.

Also wear a helmet when walking and driving a car. The percentage of head injuries doing those activities is even higher than the ones resulting from cycling.
