Many Haro parts aren't bad. You pretty much get what you pay for.

There aren't really that many proprietary parts with recent non-dept. store bikes, as far as I know. Most parts should work, but there are plenty of different standards and measurements to worry about so don't just go buy the stuff you find on sale just because it's cheap and/or Haro brand.
Have you browsed danscomp.com (http://www.danscomp.com) yet? They sell some parts packages which have everything except the frame, and they're lower end parts so the total package isn't very expensive.

That Haro is probably an American BB and a standard headtube, but I'm not so sure about the seatpost diameter and the dropout size. Since the x3 is a couple steps up from low end, I'd guess they're 14mm so the cheap parts package should probably work there.

If you can find out what year the frame is, you can check Haro's website to find out the seatpost diameter.

The X3 has 14mm dropouts. As far as the seatpost, they're showing a 25.4 for 2006. Looks like an American BB too. Mine's still in a box, so I can't be sure, but the website (http://www.harobikes.com/bmx/x3.php) has all the specs.

That means he agrees with you, you tool! :D

Edit - I merged the two threads, hope that didn't make a mess.
