I am wondering which bike to get. The kona Roast/Stuff or the Jamis Komodo.

The konas are at
http://www.konaworld.com/2k3/2k3bikes.cfm

The Jamis Komodo
http://www.jamisbikes.com/bikes/03_2komodo.html

I need your help! Thanks.

the jamis w/o a doubt, better components, better fork, better breaks, and a better frame

I would go for the roast (I did). The components are cheap, frames aren't. I just don't think the frame is the same quality or built quality. And I KNOW the roast is tough. I also just don't trust Jamis quality. I know my lbs's up here say and since I am a tough rider I like tough bikes.

Keep in mind there is a difference between the roast and stuff frames. :)

Maybe wait for dirtbikedude to add his comments. He's a big fan of Kona and has a wise head on his shoulders when it comes to things like this. He's not the kind of guy that rips other makes to shreds just because he does not like/use them.

I have two Jamis bikes, an 00 Komodo frame build up and an 02 Coda. Both have great quality and design, with the Komodo frame being made of lustful Easton Ultra Light tubing. Because of heavy research on my part and opinions of top quality by real users, I chose Jamis even though my nearest Jamis dealer is more than 250 miles away and I am surrounded by Cannondale, Giant, and Trek dealers. I just do not feel there will ever be any warranty issues with either of my bikes and I highly recommend the Jamis brand to anyone in the market for a new ride.
