I need a 550mm seatpost on my DT FS ... but the stock seatpost (470mm) is longer than any others I've seen. The ID of the stock seatpost is right at 25.4 mm. Cane Creek has a Thudbuster with 25.4 OD. Has anyone tried inserting a 25.4 seatpost into the lumen of a DT seatpost?

Why a TB when the DT is FS? High pressure tires and a 190 lb rider.

(I've PMed Yan, but it also seemed like a good forum question.)

Step one: a 25.4 mm seatpost DOES fit very nicely into the lumen of the 30.4 mm DT FS seatpost.

Next step, cut the top off the OEM seat post, slit the top, add a new seatpost and seatpost collar.
