First off, I apologize for a complete lack of pictures. Our darn digital camera can't take a picture in focus to save it's life!!! :(
Had to burn some leave, so I took last week off from work and we headed "down south" to Traverse City, Michigan...our hometown, to visit our parents and (mostly) to ride ... ride ... RIDE!
Took our Burley Tosa tandem, Burley Solo trailer, and all the fixin's needed for riding. Had a blast. Bought Vickie a new saddle. Got mine fine tuned. It was great.
We put in 276 miles over 8 days of riding. Most of it in the hills of the Old Mission and Leelenau Peninsulas in Northern Michigan. All but 50 miles was pulling the kid. And yes, he LOVES riding in his trailer. But now, he loves riding on his Trail-A-Bike even more! :)
Had great wx, all but one day when it rained (didn't ride that day). Got some GREAT hill/climbing training in (flat as a pancake here in Sault Ste. Marie where we live), saw some beautiful scenery, and had a great time.
We also tried riding 90 degrees OOP, and we will NEVER go back to riding in phase again. What an amazing thing. If you haven't tried it...try it. You'll be hooked.
That's already a total of 620+ miles for me this year (single + tandem). Yes, I am bragging. We JUST lost our snow up here!
So we are tired, I'm rambling, but thanks for reading!
