Hey guys. I need some help identifying this campy seatpost before I decide to buy it. I'm guessing it's a Campy "Victory" seatpost. Let me know if you experts think different. :D
if it is cheap we'll all pound you for waiting around. That is an early C-Record post, worth about $75 if it is in any kind of reasonable shape.

Well to be honest, it's cheap right now but I really need the "Victory" one. Here's a link Luker if you're interested. Thanks.

How can you determine that? All the seatposts from that period look pretty much the same to me. I have the same post on one of my Guerciottis and I don't think it is C-Record.

I'd say Record. I have a Chorus post - late 80's. It looks a bit different to the one in the pics

For the record (pardon the pun), this is what a Triomphe post looks like...
-Kurt
the bottom of the base is the real key here. The record has the allen bolt exposed
and the victory it's sort of tucked up under two flanges?
The top of the Record (for adjusting seat angle etc.) is convex,
on the Victory it is concave.
Finish on the victory isn't quite as jewel like as on the Record.

Thanks. After pulling up my Campy catalogs on CD, I see exactly what you mean.
