I noticed others posting route plans for other commuters so here goes my 21 km one way route to Markham and Sheppard in Scarborough.
I avoid the Woodbine hill by going up Elmer, across Kingston Rd and through the school yard then North on Firstbrooke, West on Burgess, north on Golfview up to Gerrard. East on Gerrard to just east of Main where I cut through the new subdivision that runs parallel to the tracks. I join up with Victoria Park at the Loblaw's store and then head east on Danforth Ave to St Dunstan's to the end and then east to Pharmacy. North on Pharmacy to the Community Centre and then up the ramp to Presley. Take Presley up to St. Clair then a quick east on St Clair , then north on Arden and through the park onto Hollydene, around camrose and north on Faulkland to Leahurst. East on Leahurst across Warden onto Hymus, north on Manville to Civic then a quick left and right and across Eglinton through the RONA parkinglot onto Ashtonbee. East on Ashtonbee to Thermos and north to Bertrand, east and then north on Crockford.
At this point there is a path on the hydro right-of-way which I take to Givendale, then east and then north on Flora and across Kennedy to Mike Myers (yes really) then under the RT to Midland. North on Midland to Norbury then east and north to Norcot. When you cross Brimley follow the path east and north through the park to Amberdale north to Brimorton and northeast to Dolly Varton, north to Ellesmere and Marham north to destination.
Almost no exposure to arterial roads and a very pleasant 70-90 minute run.
