I am looking to buy a new bike. I am currently looking at the Raleigh Supercourse. I want to spend around 1000. The Supercourse is about 1200. I can go that high, but I don't really want too. I am looking to do some Olympic tri's this year. I have done a few sprints. Any suggestions? Thanks for the help!!!

Do you prefer a Releigh? There are a lot of options for you in the 1000 range. I bought a Specialized Transition Elite w/basically the same components for 900, but it's a tri specific bike. Not sure if you want a roadie that you can convert to tri.
My LBS has several Treks for 1000 and under. I would look around.
I picked up my 2005 Qunitana Roo Kilo for $850 basicly the same group but with 105 rd instead of ultegra
Thanks for the info. Every bike shop I go to around here don't have anything less than 1100. They have showed me treks, specialized and Raleigh. I am going to ride each of them. Maybe I need new bike shops, huh?
I would suggest trying different shops. There are good bikes to be had for under $1,000.
May want to try the large sporting goods stores, too. Occasionally, you can grab a deal from them.
try all3sports.com they have great service, super helpfull and good prices. I took the measurements off their website and my bike came setup near perfect.(they are pretty hastle free about returns or questions too)
