So I purchased a set of wheels that the seller took the cassette off of and I separately bought an SRAM PG-950 9 speed cassettefrom someone who took it off a cannondale sprint. I went to put the cassette on to check and I can't screw the lockring on (I am using my fingers just to test it).
I went back and checked with the wheel seller and he had taken an ultegra 9-sp cassette of the wheel (the wheels came off a trek).
Do I just need to get a lockring tool and really try cranking down on the cassette to screw it on? I have never installed a cassette before, but I had assumed that I would at least be able to threat the lockring on with my fingers. What else could possibly be wrong?
