Foo - I'm going to England for 8 months.....anyone out there?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
My family and I are going to England for sabbatical for 8 months. It's, like going to be wikid! I have already been to England 8 times, and Scotland once, but only for one month periods each:( . I hope to take advantage of the wonderful Euro travel system and go and see the whole continent.
I. AM. SO. EXCITED.
Oh, and if any of ya'll are anywhere in the place, or near Bath, London or in Devon, I'll see you there!
(I'll be spending most of thetime in the above places);)

I've been to all three places. You are gonna love every minute. I'm jealous.

I don't think I could stand going to a place that is more racist and discriminatory then America.

It seems that everyone who lives there has left. You should have the place all to yourself. ;)

Ok. I still don't get it though.

Yeah, You don't get it because obviously you didnt read UK Current Events within the last weeek or 2, or if you did you skipped over/didn't see the few articles that I read that I was making fun/light of.

Seeing as I live in the UK, it's unlikely that there's something of which I would be unaware if you yourself, a self-proclaimed non-CE following person, were aware of it.
Saying that though, anything's possible.

I live in West London. Drop me a line when you're here and I might be able to arrange some tickets to see Chelsea play as I work with some guys who are season ticket holders (you'll have to pay for the tickets though).

Hey, an actual reply! Thanks, Johnny! I might just do that. To see Chelsea play would be simply mercurial. Oh, sorry..........
I also am hoping to see Arsenal, Man U. and Liverpool. Toss in Spurs, too.
Thanks, mate:D.

I wouldn't mind seeing some of those teams as well. Well, not Liverpool and Spurs.

You might have better luck posting in General Cycling, although you'd have to make the post more cycling related ("I'm gonna be in England, who can give me good cycling tips?" or whatever). Seems to me there's more than one Briton on this board, but I guess they don't frequent Foo :D.

Wicked! I know your, ahem, opinions of Liverpool and Co, but what is wrong with Spurs, in your opinion?
They have Paul Robinson, and for me that makes them worth seeing.;)

I'm not a fan of Spurs or their football. I have nothing against them, but I just wouldn't pay to see them play. In fact, the only two teams I would pay to see play are Utd and Arsenal (English teams that is).
Also, I wouldn't pay to see a goalkeeper unless it was someone like Campos or Barthez.
Barthez? Gianluigi Buffon is better, I'd say. Or maybe even Jerzy Dudek..............
Paul R. is England No. 1, so that in itself makes him interesting.

Dudek:rolleyes:
The point is that even interesting goalkeepers aren't interesting.

REDSH1TTEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!
Except I was supporting them for the first time in my life, against Chelsea on the weekend.
I had to go and scrub myself until I bled afterwards though.
