Training & Nutrition - Fun Poll - Your Body Type?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. A little more on "Body Types" - not just three.
http://www.innerexplorations.com/psytext/3.htm
"If we take a tour of Sheldon's body type diagram, the endomorph's silhouette looks like a pear. Further up north we meet the endomorphic mesomorph. His abdomen is not quite as massive. His shoulders are bulkier, and this creates a rectangular shape. Much of the softness of the endomorph is gone, replaced by a feeling of solidness. The endomorphic mesomorph is like a bull. Once we hit the extreme mesomorphic pole the bulk of the abdomen has dwindled even further, and there's a strong contrast between the relatively narrow waist and hips and the powerful shoulders and arms. Going down the other side towards the ectomorphic pole we have the ectomorphic mesomorph. He is less heavily built, but still muscular. His neighbor to the south has an equal measure of mesomorphy and ectomorphy, making him thin and muscular. Then comes the more extreme ectomorph, and between him and the endomorph, the ectomorphic endomorph, who is perhaps the hardest to recognize. He is spread out and round without being muscular. In the middle are mid-range physiques well endowed with all the basic elements. And somewhere in this panoramic rainbow of physiques is you. Can you find yourself?"
I have arbitrarily numbered each type. Which are you? I find myself closest to an endomorphic mesomorph. Others?
I would be somewhere between 1 and 2 with the shape of a mesomorph but nowhere near the size. However I will have to give a lot of credit to weight training, cycling and diet for the shape because its something I have to constantly work at not natural.

Phew.. that took me some thinking, but actually I already knew.
I suppose things are generally similar for females? type mesomorphic endomorph or endomorphic mesomorph = rectangular..

I'm probably no 4. Even before I started riding (I really was a lazy teenager) I had no body fat at all.

Just actually read that and although it epitomizes the generalization of people it sure fits most people I know. Incredible. I have used this chart before but have never thought about what research it came from. I had always assumed it was for fitness and didn't even related to the mind.
Cheers on a good read.
After reading it I do fall into the 7 category and my rating would be as follows after some thought and consideration.
4-5-1
Interesting ratio. Very cool thanks.
I think I'm closer to a 1-4-7 on that test and I'm probably stretching it to give the endo a 1 lol.

From the questionnaire it seems I'm 2-1-5, endomorphic-ectomorph!
Interesting... I think everyone knows or thinks to know the archetypal endomorphs, ectomorphs and mesomorphs!
But it's harder to classify oneself...

I think I am a Ectomorphic Mesomorph, not exactly but close.
Guys, don't you think that the "Can't find myself here - I am from Mars!!" should be erased? Some people are disabled. We should be nicer people especially when Christmas is near.

Why in the world is a statement such as that not nice to people, and WHAT IN THE EVER-LOVING WORLD does it have to do with Christmas??
I have two sons with profound disabilities and neither one would take any kind of offense at that, and I wrote that choice. I have dozens of close friends with the most profoundest of physical and mental disabilities - some of whom I have known for 40 years. None would take offense. What in the world does body type have to do with disabilities? People with disabilities have body types also, just like everyone else.
You write as if a person in a wheelchair or with MS or MD or CP or Down's Syndrome or whatever does not have a body type. What a discriminatory, unknowledgeable, uninformed, and silly idea.
The statement on the poll about "from Mars" is simply for those who don't want to classify themselves, or find no place where they easily fit on the chart.
Are you unfamiliar with persons with disabilities? Folks with disabilities want to be included just like everyone else, and do NOT want special treatment (except for EQUAL access and opportunity) and do not have a need to be mollycoddled or felt sorry for by folks such as you.
Goodness. Lighten up a bit.
As I stated in the title, THIS IS FOR FUN.

now if DenverFox had insinuated that ...'can't find body type, you must be from mars because you are fond of the anal probes used on that planet'..... then we'd have problems.
my wife thinks that i am slender and obsess too much over my body. as i near 40 i realize that i am getting further away from my ideal 'look' ....but i am still not bad (6'00'', 185lbs) considering that i didn't 'bloom' till 32. hahaha.
I vote the poll stays as it is as I also took it in the fun/humourous spirit it was written and I agree the complaints/gripping have no relavence to what was actually written anyway .I guess the writer must be highly ectomorphic as he appears overly sensitive about something lol.
2-3-7?
Legs are fairly muscular (riding).
rest of me is ectomorph
with exception of my middle
which is endo.
you know, skinny with a gut

I'm 4.5 inches tall, and have three inches of fuschia hair. I have a 5 inch waist and a 1/2 inch inseam. I guess I must be from Mars.

lol...
I'm 6'1", 175 with a 32 inch waist, 7% body fat, and a 42 inch chest. It's hard to find a suit with a 10 inch drop...I show up at all formal occasions in a sport coat and slacks :D BTW, I AM bragging, I worked hard for this body! :D
I would say that I'm a total mesomorph, but I used to be pretty fat when I was 12 or 13 (5'8, 205, tight 36 inch waist, at least 30% BF)
I wonder if mesomorph is what happens when an ectomorph and an endomorph get together? My dad is of the ectomorph physique, and my mom is an endomorph.

I know that suit feeling with a 48inch chest and 38inch waist finding suits that 'suit' are very difficult. :) Brag away. Hard work pays off. I learned a long time ago that I am built like a football player. I take it as I love it. Being big is lots of fun :D

I'll have to go with 7 also. Used to be more Meso but with age I have mellowed.:)

I voted 7, although I believe myself to be more of a Meso-Endo, rather than an Endo-Meso.
At first glance, I come off as an Extreme Endo, since I am so over weight, but my personality has many mesomorphoic tendencies. When my excess body fat is gone, I will look like the Mesomorph in the chart.
I voted 7 as well. I'm 5'10", 179lbs., 11% BF, wear a 41" jacket and 33" pants. I look pretty athletic in clothes (well, of course, I ride my bike everyday!) but in a swimsuit I always look a bit soft. Even when I was superfit and had a BF under 8%, I never looked buff. It's just the way my body carries fat. There's nothing I can do about it, so I stopped worrying about it.
