Looking to get a solid pair of offroad shoes. I currently have all road bike shoes, sidi genius 3's - I noticed that the sidi action and the dominator 4 styles are almost exactly like my road shoes, except for the traction on the soles. Any good deals right now that wont break the bank. I have the latest Nashbar - seeing some sales, but are there any proven winners in that bunch. thanks

If you look around some mail-order places are having deals where they include the pedals and a set of shoes in the deal -Don't think any of them menetioned Sidi, like you mentioned. I think performance might be having a sale on shoes right now you might want to check out.

(I have the mega road version) if they will fit ya! Dave Thompson is a solid guy also! (No worries buying anything from him). ;)

Cipher, yeah, I think Im gonna go with the Daves sidi 4's. I would prefer to stay in the sidi family, Im pleased with my sidi road shoes and know the sizing - which helps. What cleats do you run on yours, Im not thrilled about using spd - but Im a road biker that is use to speedplay pedals with lots of float.

Hey Nikos, I use SpeedPlay as well. (X-1's & X-2's).

If you are used to the float on the Speedplay's, either get some of their Frogs, or get some Time pedals. I've also heard nothing but good things from the Eggbeaters. There is a deal at Pricepoint (I think!) where you get some Diadora shoes and a pair of eggbeaters for about $120.00. I'm going from memory, so don't take my word as golden!
