Bicycle Mechanics - Shimano chains 92 vrs 93?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Can anyone tell me what if any are the differences between Shimanos HG92 chain, and its successor the HG93?
The description in the QBP catalogues are the same for both: silver finish,304g, and 6.6mm width.
I guess this is a way for Shimano to increase the price of their products year to year...

BINGO!
I certainly hope the 93 is more reliable than the 92. Sorry, Shimano fans, I use SRAM chains exclusively, having encountered too many problems with Shimano chain breakage.

I'm surprised to hear that. What type of riding do you do? (Road, dirt, etc.)
