Anybody been ticketed for carrying bikes on a rear-mounted bike rack on your car or truck for taillight obstruction? Oregon or N. Calif.?

I would have thought that licence plate obstruction would be more likely. If there are only 2 bikes on the rack, it is hardly likely that there is enough structure to totally block one of the rear lights. You should be able to fight this with the aid of digital photos taken at dusk with the car lights switched on. Good luck.

- wouldn't fly, IMO... you could easily contest such a ticket unless ticketed as an out-of-town tourist...
(i once got a ticket as a teenager in Beach Haven, NJ one summer for parking crooked in an oblique parking space - and the car was between the white lines!)
If your taillight was obstructed, then I expect you could be ticketed for it.
