I went in looking for a Monocog but fell in love with a Proline 24. Now I'm looking at the Haro 24 as well. It will NEVER be used as a mountain bike, but may be taken through the occasional neighborhood field or dirt trail in the local park. I'm 5'8" around 200 lbs. Money isn't an issue - and I have no desire to own another mountain bike.
Thoughts?
Redlines are great bikes (I've owned more than a few in my time). Also check out the DK General Lee 24 as well.
Which Redline: Monocog or Proline?

if you have no desire to own another mtb go with a 24" cruiser. The Monocog is cool and a good price, but it will feel like a mtb in terms of sizing and geometery. The 24" cruiser will likely have stronger wheels (smaller wheels are stronger) and bmx geometery.

I don't have any 'real' bmx bikes, but my freakish 3-speed bmx cruisers are a whole hell of a lot of fun. If you're looking for fun, and you've already got an mtb or something similar, go for the cruiser.
I'm going to score a black General Lee. If it works out, I'll look at something nicer. If not, I'll go Monocog.
NOW - how hard is it to remove those gay decals? :D

Not too hard, but time consuming. Get out the goo-gone and prepared to pull them off real slow unless you want chipped paint.

I have the Haro Backtrail X24 and its awesome. I use it just to cruise around the neighborhood. Its comfortable and rides really nice. And I'm almost 6' tall.

to remove my decals i heated them with a blow dryer and slowly peeled them off keeping them heated the whole time. The only goo on my frame was about a quarter of an inch long and as wide as the thin side of a penny. one sticker i put on there came off real sloppy though, i did however remove it fast compared to the rest.

Heh, guess I did it the hard way. Don't have a hair dryer though.. maybe I could borrow one next time

No Sabbath fan worth his weight in hair gel would be caught dead without one.

If you want to remove stickers, just peel them off the best you can, and then if there is sticky crap still there, put some WD-40 on a rag and scrub it right off, works easy, and im sure most of you have WD-40 sitting around.
