Experiment #2 was a success. For those that remember I was to conduct a experiment with myself regarding how my skin would handle certain things being applied to it during my tour next year.

Let me explain. I was concerned about using bug spray with deet in it to keep the skeeters of of me, then the next morning using those Old Spice refreshining towels and then sun block. The concern was how it would affect my skin and whether or not I would have a bad reaction to it.

Well last night I took a shower just as I will at the end of a day of riding during my tour, then I applied Deep Woods Off with Deet. Went to bed, (wife made me sleep in guest room I have to wash the bedding as well). Then this morning when I woke up I used the Old Spice refreshening towels and applied sunblock just as I'll do during my tour. And there has been no bad reaction and the only thing I smell like is the sunblock. No bad mixed odors from anything either.

So the experiment was a success!!!

I am now about 60% ready for my tour. I have to train for it yet as well as purchase certain things for it. By Feb. I hope to be 75% ready the last 25% will be the training portion.

eat lots of garlic and take complex vitamin b tabs and you won't have bug problems. I don't know where you are touring and if you are camping or not but keep in mind that scents like after shave, deodorant, perfume attract wild beasts
