Hey, I just put up this thread coz no one answered my 2nd question on my previous thread. Out of the Diamondback Outlook 2003 model and GT Palomar 2003 model, which bicycle is better. I got the Diamondback outlook, and it is 7005 alloy, and the GT Palomar is steel and cro moly or something, also the outlook has EZ-Fire shifters, and the Palomar has SRAM MRX Grip Shift. Well, can some one please tell me which bicycle is better?
Thanx a heap

It`s good to here from another Aussie, what part are you from?
As for your question,it`s a bit difficult to answer without alot of the other spec`s listed.I rode a Diamondback Topanga for 8000km`s and loved every k of it,with rapid fire gears and a cro mo frame and it`s still going strong[with constant parts replacments][I updated to a full susser Mongoose,I`m getting old].I`ve always had great respect for GT,always nice frames and components,I`ve never used the Sram Grip shift but I`m using their cassette which I`m very happy with 11-34 9 speed. Please get back to me with the other components and I`ll give you 15 years of MTB riding Knowledge.

I looked at the specs on both bikes and it's a toss-up. They are both specced about the same. I also like the rapid-fire shifters better than the twist-grip type. Either way, when you wear out a component, you can replace it with a better one.
