Post a thank you to someone special who made a difference in your life. Who knows if they are watching...:)

I'd like to thank Dennis W. for showing me the reasons why I should go into Law Enforcement. So I can do my best to stop people like him from inflicting pain upon others.

Please, by all means inflict pain on me.

I'd like to thank my friend Kim for showing me what could be. And for being a true and honest friend. I'd like to thank my sister (4 time cancer survivor) for leading by example and always looking at the glass as half full, no matter how much crap life threw at her.

I'd like to thank my brother (may he rest in peace) for showing me what really matters in life. That life is VERY short and not to let the big things get you down. THANKS DUSTIN. I MISS YOU MUCH!!

I'd like to thank my family for not being even half as messed up as the families of half of my friends, for being exemplary of the finer points of family spirit.

I'd like to thank Bob Hunter for founding Greenpeace and the guy who stood in front of the tanks approaching Tianemen Square, both of whom demonstrated beyond a shadow of a doubt that a single person is capable of making a huge difference in this world.

4 people come to mind for me.
Thank you to my brother who passed away for showing me the real value of life trough his pain.
Thank you to Steven, an ironman who motivated me and showed me that there is no goal out of reach.
Thank you to my best friend for being the only one who believed that the Boston marathon wasn't out of reach to me.
Thank you Peter for brighting up my rides with your laugh and make me the fast rider I am now.
To all of these people, you were truly the wind beneath my wings

Only person that comes to mind immediately is...ME! Y'know, 'cause I'm, like, awesome and stuff! My family's pretty awesome, too. Oh, and all the little people at BF.net. I'd like to throw out the name(s) of some great innovators from days gone by, but I guess I just do my thing without worrying about all those fancy-pants. I seem to learn life-lessons without really thinking about where I learned 'em. Could be all the dead brain cells, I guess....

Definate thanks to my Middle school science/computer programming/photography teacher, Mr. Brown....that guy was singlehandedly responsible for my love of electronics (and computers in general), as well as learning in general.

He showed me that there was some truly cool and interesting things out there, and that not all learning was the bland crap I was fed up until then.

I still remember the rebuild of the old Pentax camera we done when he found out I was too poor to afford a proper camera...so he grabbed an old Pentax from his stash that didn't work, and we rebuilt it, and he let me use it until I could afford a nice camera. Great guy. The world needs sooooo many more teachers like him.

Thank you Spencer, for getting me into biking and not being a git like almost every other freerider out here.

Thank you for letting me keep my bike at your house in the morning.

Thank you for the gloves.

Thank you for giving me rides places when I needed them.

Thank you for listening to my rants.

Thanks for the trust.

Thank you for helping me out in the new school.

Thank you for everything else.

Thank you, thank you, thank you
I want to thank you, please, thank you.

The problem's plain to see, too much technology
Machines to save our lives. Machines de-humanize.

The time has come at last
To throw away this mask
So everyone can see
My true identity!!

I'd like to thank my brother. The highest-quality person I have ever met. A lifetime of support, friendship, humour, of working shoulder-to-shoulder and then being 2000 miles apart, now shoulder-to-shoulder again. I deeply appreciate all of your help over the years, and being able to return that help is the most meaningful thing in my life.

I'd also like to thank the OP for making me ask myself this question. Now, if you all will excuse me, I have to go call my bro…

I want to thank one of the 10,999 other people where I work for not covering their mouth and not washing their hands and for spreading this viral upper respiratory infection I contracted, which will probably keep me off the bike this weekend. Grrrrr....and it's supposed to be nice weather. I am so freakin' sick. I feel like crap. :o Maybe I'll try some of that "Self-Love" I here discussed on this thread! :p

I'd like to thank first and foremost, King Jesus. Second, I'd like to thank my mentors who have patiently put up with me and my "warts" over the years. I'd especially like to thank Darren who took the time to befriend a wierd guy like me who people didn't want to hang out with, mentoring me into someone more normal and encouraging my academic pursuits.

Thanks to my special friend far far away who made the effort to make me feel important. Even though we are in different times zones he sacrificed his sleep and his time to give me a few moments of happiness. I just hope he realizes how much that really meant to me. I know that I will miss those times. And I know that anyone he comes across is lucky to have met him. Thank you, so very much.:(

Thank you to Coach Doherty, for seeing the potential in me that no one else did, and for showing me the meaning of utmost respect, discipline and honesty. Several years later, and the lesson is still sinking in.
