Some days are made for listening to the birds, hearing the water flow, feeling the 67F temp and the slight breeze, and seeing the blue sky. That was today - 26 miles of pure pleasure. Saw about 10 riders over the 26 miles, riding in my levis and sweater. All pics taken by my camera in my cell phone.

This bike is my "Utility Road Bike" - Windsor Leeds with panniers, rack, etc., along with toe straps. It is my "jump on and go" bike when I don't want to go through the travails of assembling all the roadie Lycra stuff and I just want to GO!

Well, it was nice early this morning and I got in my ride before the WIND came up. Sheesh, it has been even more windy than normal up here in the high plains this year.

Well, it was nice early this morning and I got in my ride before the WIND came up. Sheesh, it has been even more windy than normal up here in the high plains this year.

For the first time this year- we are in a good spell of weather. Temperature up in the high 60,s just a bit of rain in the form of short showers- and I have to work. Still got a ride in tonight though. Left at 7.30 for a short road ride. 20 miles of hills. Luckily the bad ones were downhill but it left the uphills as long drags. Only one bad point. as we got away later than normal, the fish & chip shop was closed so had to go to the Pub instead and have a pint of our local Sussex brew. Bonus was that the menu has been changed and bar snacks were available so settled on Sausage & chips instead. Considering that this was a short steady ride- No really hard work- just consistent pressure to keep the legs working after Sunday's ride- I feel remarkably good. Good enough to get the solo out a bit earlier tomrrow night and see if the Tandem is faster.
Had a bit of bad news though. My co-rider is contemplating getting a road bike to commute to work. As long as he is not going over to the dark side completely I could settle for that.

Two beautiful days in a row and another wonderful ride. I don't think I can stand this. I am so used to 50+ mph winds that a wind of only 10-15mph seems scary!

Great post!! I've always thought Colorado-and maybe Utah-had the prettiest deep blue skies around. I'm jealous as it sounds like a perfect day to ride. I wound up slogging 40 miles in the rain but I didn't care. I just had to get in some miles.

Hey-give us a little warning before you toss in a close-up mug shot next time!!

Wow, great pics, wonderful place to ride. Looks like it could get pretty windy out there.

You should put that "head shot" pic in the Rogue's Gallery.
