Fifty Plus (50+) - An Invitation to New (and older) 50+'rs

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Okay - As of May 15th, we are still accepting postings from new(er) 50+'rs.

An Invitation to New(er) 50+'rs.

The 50+ Forum maintains a Rogue's Gallery (http://members.aol.com/bfn50gallery/). We would greatly enjoy your participation by adding a picture and a short biography. Even if you are just new to bicycling, and only have 100 miles on your bicycle - we want you!

If you would enjoy participating, please forward me a bicycling picture attached to an email with:

1. Your screen name

And in one succinct spell-checked paragraph:

2. General Location - i.e., state and city or whatever they do in England and other places.

3. Age

4. Interests

5. Bicycles

6. Other interesting stuff, such as miles per year, or - well, you know.

I do not do any editing, I simply copy and paste your info.

Please send it as text in the email with an attached *.jpg file, if possible.

If you don't have a digital camera, I will be pleased to scan in your picture. Please email me for the address to mail it.

BFN50Gallery@aol.com

I will include NO emails in the web page. It should not be traceable to you, in case the IRS agents or police are looking for you or the debt tracer wants your hide.

Please email the bio and photo to:

BFN50Gallery@aol.com

and I will see what I can do with it.

Here is the web page.

Unfortuantely I will not be able to ride my age but I am riding with my sons on a charity ride for the local Lion's club.

The Bishop of the CalPac Methodist conference is not active in our forums, but I vote we give her and her husband honorary membership in our 50+ group. :)

I had the pleasure of meeting Jeff and Mary Ann last month; great folks! The choir even broke out in "Bicycle Built For Two" in their honor.

Guess I won't be eligible for three years. Not sure if that is good or bad.

It's easy for me to say...because I haven't done any of the work.

I say let it coast awhile, I'm guessing more entries will trickle in as time goes on.

Yo! Don't close it without warning!

Tell me when the last minute is to enter the Rogue's G. (If it wasn't for the last minute I'd never get anything done.)

Hi all. This is my first post in this forum and I figured this would be a good spot for it. The existence of the "Fifty Plus" forum is the main reason I registered. Any web site with a thread on "sports tri-focals" is my kind of place!

I'm a mere 51 and from Ohio. I rode while stationed in Berlin back in the mid '70s but have just gotten back into it. A couple of weeks ago was my first time with a bike on the road in about 30 years. It worked out- likely because the bike is almost 30 years old (OK, so it is... French, but what the heck, it was only 10 bucks).

I'll be emailing the photo and info pretty soon. My sister says she has her digital camera figured out so I'll have her take a picture (even so I'lll get a backup with a real camera).

Bob (aka "tvme")
