I did my first jump, that wasn't a curb, (I'm a kurb-killa). I didn't get any pics, because I did it spur of the moment.
Here we go...
It was a clear and dusky late afternoon. I was riding home from track practice, and I saw this jump that was perfect...about mid thigh (maybe 2.5 feet?) It didn't have much room behind it, so I rode parallel to it for a bit, then steered toward the edge, then lifted the front end as it was about 2 inches from the edge. the back came off the edge, and I landed with both wheels about the same time.
I didn't fall, but I think I screwed up my rear rim. I dont think its a flat spot, but when I brake, I hear a thumping sound about every tire revolution. Oh well, I guess thats what beaters are for, right?
I plan on more drops at a later date...I'm hoping to break four feet soon. That'd be a hell of a feat on a rigid huffy!
