Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I assume you are not being facecious! His hands are covering the brake levers in the top photo. If you look closely you can still pick out the levers themselves against the white tape on his bars. In the bottom photo you can't see them as he used to set them up very low on the bends.

I just don't see them. They look like Pista bars to me.

Highlighted in red. How you can't see them is beyond me.

hmm, ok, i'm convinced. I can see his right hand wrapped around the lever. For a minute there, I thought he was riding a fixed gear, but the cabling was still there...

There's a very cool article on LeMond on PEZ right now: http://pezcyclingnews.com/?pg=fullstory&id=3964

The two cables on his handlebars are his brake cables.
His shifter cables are on his downtube--that's an 80's era bike with downtube shifters.

Pre brifters, the hoods weren't so huge.
