Are the stock handlebars on the fuji track (at least in 04) 26mm for the clamp diameter? I just got a stem, which i also fear may not be 1" so the point may be moot (my dumb ass didn't ask about the shaft diameter), but the stock bars don't fit into the clamp (at least not the center of them). I've been running 123s but have 021s on order from the bikebiz. The stem i got was listed as 26mm for the clamp size, but if the stock bars are 26mm, the listing was wrong. I don't even think a rubber mallet would get those bars in and that's without even putting the bolt in...

my '05 is 25.4mm clamp, 1" dia. stem.
I replaced the stock stem w/ a nitto technomic.

hmmm... yeah unless there are 25mm stems, the '04 ain't 25.4... I could see the bars being 26.4mm but i thought that size was reserved for screwy cinelli bars

but i guess if the stem fits in my headset and is a 25.4 i cna still use it with my 123s... though if someone's interested, i'd look for the 123s and one or 2 stems up for trade in the trade thread

aesthetically, the stem is the worst part on a stock Fuji Track (admittedly i dont know what the stock wheels look like and rock formula/deepVs myself). Go get something on ebay/CL/LBS that you know will fit your bars for sure.

I like that stem. Got a takeoff on my 3rensho.

i tried getting something on ebay that i "know" will fit my bars. While i should have checked to make sure it would fit my bike, the auction definately said 26mm clamp diameter. And if the fuji stock bars (my only measurement device because my 021s haven't arrived yet and i run 123s -25.4-) are 26mm clamp, then i've been shafted a little.
