Ok so i started ridding about a year ago when a buddie of mine started road riding all the time thinking i would rather try a tri (sorry no pun intended) But i knew i wouldnt get anywear in the shape i was in and not being a decent rider. well its just over a year of training later and i just ordered my first Tri frame, a 2004 QR CALiente frame set brand new never riden (dont think this qualifies as new old stock but whatever). I ride almost everyday and swim and run as often as i can (starting a more serious swim regimen when the gym across the street opens next friday)

'04 Quintana Roo CALiente (650c)
Ritchy Probiscus Bars
Sinergy Rev-X 650c wheelset
105 front & rear dr
Cane Creek 200tt brakelevers
dura ace barcons
Turvative Roulier Double Crank
Forte Tri sadle
and SDL-sl pedals

So what do you guys think of this frameset or parts?

Sounds like a pretty decent starter Tri bike. Well a decent tri bike period.....good luck man, and trust me, there are alot of new people in triathlons at every level. I have heard of people making their first triathlon an Ironman.......I say try out a sprint, it is short, but long enough for you to get a feel for what the sports all about.

Like the bra thread...this thread is useless without pictures :)

Do you have any pics of the bike? Congats, prepare to be addicted, and keep us posted on your progress.

Cheers.

I have the 2004 650c Caliente in a 53cm and love it. It's light and fast. With my race wheels it's a stiff ride but hell, a race bike is for racing.
