Its a Rockhopper Comp Disc, it was 1050$ (up from 880$ US MSRP) but the price is good considering where I live, the regular Rockhopper without discs was 800$, the salesman showed me the Comp Disc and I couldn't resist and it seemed like a better deal overall, he also threw in an Azonic T-55, I'm feeling a little guilty about spending 1k on a bike but now I'm gonna ride every single chance I get (to justify the steep price).

What are your feelings on this bike and its components (namely the BB5s, RS Tora and LX/Deore drivetrain set), the Rockhopper base seemed attractive with its SRAM componentry (SX5 bonded to X.7 shifters) but the RockShox J3 and Tektro Vs turned me off.

Hey, why feel guilty about something in life that you have a passion for and that should keep you healthy and enjoying the wonderful outdoors. Besides, you either pay now, or pay later in some form or another. That's a really good bike, too.

Alright, the pics are now uploaded (look at the first post), I would have taken more but my camera's battery died suddenly, I had just enough to transfer the pictures.

Impressions coming soon after I take it out for a real ride.

That's gorgeous... I also just got a Rockhopper!

It is a used 04 base model upgraded to XT derailleurs and... from my research downgraded to an RST Gila T4 fork. I guess the e-bay seller did this to cut the price, which was good at $265, so I'm not upset. For the time being it will mostly be a city bike so I'll just have it locked out. I'm super stoked about it, can't ride it yet because I don't have a set of allen wrenches, but tomorrow! I'll post pics soon, it's the silver "Dream" color.
