The rules around here are a bit strict. Which I actually like. But I suspect that some of you would change them if you could. It would be interesting to see where everyone stands on the issue.

Maybe if we like voted noobs in or somtihng like that...
Or got a little more strict like on BMX Board...
Well, they don't get voted in, but they pretty much get "jumped in" like in gang where you get beat up to join. And you know of whom I speak that throws the most blows. :)

Sure. I don't see a little red star next to your name. How do you propose we pay for the monthly server costs? No one would buy advertising space if the site didn't get new members.

Thats why i said at most, we would have a Noob vote in, becuase its nicer than haveing them start posting and get jumped in my angry cranky posts from other members...
Or we can have a whole NOOB thread, like BMX Board does...
And any questions they have we tell them to put there, i think that would work
Noobs are fun. They ask the same questions that everyone ask at first. And since products change every year, using the search tool may not be all that useful. And there's someone around here diggin up 6 year old threads to throw us off. :) I doesn't hurt anyone answering the same questions over and over again. Besised, BMX isn't that big a topic, so without noobs to bust on once and a while, what else are you all gonna on the forum?

This is all true, but why dont we have a special Noob thread, like "THE WHAT KIND OF BIKE DO I GET THREAD" and "HOW DO I DO THIS THREAD" it might help

Have you guys noticed something? The guys that ask "wut bike shud I get?" don't stick around too long. Neither do the ones that ask about disc brakes and suspension. So is it cause or effect?

Most forums are that way. Find out what product(s) are popular, then leave.
