Hi All,
Saturday morning and its rain so hard animals are starting to pair up here. I thought if I can't ride the next best thing is to be around bikes while whinning with other like minded types about the weather. Off I went to my LBS. I walked in and the owner looks over at me and said "came for a bike fix huh". So I walked over to a group of guys and we stood staring out the window at the rain with our funny looking tan arms and lily white hands.
Sunday will be good weather.
Keep2up,

Today has been a glorious day for riding- Not too warm but a good sun warming the back . Pity I was working in the garden all day.Tommorrows ride day but put the grippy knobblies on as rain is promised- Why can't I be more flexible?

Most of the time when it rains, I pout and get disappointed because I'm not riding. Sometimes, however, I love to get all my raingear on (mind you, I have no real rain gear, just a yellow wind breaker with a hood), and get out on the road, and ride. There's something about riding out in the elements that (occasionally) appeals to me.

I forgot, do you have a bike with fenders?
Nope! i just ride my Trek 3900 MTB on slicks. I do get a little wet. :(
Okay, soaked.

Well it was raining here in North Texas also, with a promise of clearing up later in the day.
I got my old tourer bike back from the LBS yesterday after fixing a bottom bracket problem. I was considering driving over for the Muenster, Texas festival and bike ride but decided against it when it was raining this AM. Nevertheless, with a drizzle in the air I put on my less than my high dollar rain gear and took off. It cleared up some, then rained some, and then cleared up again while I was out on a 25 mile run through the hills. Egads, did I mention the wind was screaming! Still, I made the run in 2 hours even though I changed in and out of clothes several times.
Am proud to report that the Gilles Berthoud fenders I installed a couple of months ago worked as advertised. Also, the weatherproof booties are worth it, as it was in the 50's when I took off.
