Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I've settled on buying one of these bikes. I like both for different reasons. Anybody want to sing the praises or rip these bikes to help me decide?

Very different bikes. I went with a Volae Expedition (pre-Rans Enduro) and what I've seen of the Force5 sounds like a terrific and versatile bike. Disc brakes rule and the highracer arrangement is very efficient. I haven't heard from anyone who has done serious touring on a highracer, though.

I test rode a Force5 XP and did not like it. no rip on the bike, it just wasn't right for me.
(Love my Rocket, though!)
Test ride says it all, if you can test both, do it.

Check out Bentrider.com, there is a Burley Jett Creek with the Andirondac upgrades for sale at $1100.

What was your issue with it?
I ask because I am not close to a dealer with one in stock and just wanted to know.

The pedals were too high to get into. I had to stretch "up" to start pedalling.
While pedaling, I felt like I was rolling about a foot higher than I should have been.
Starting and stopping was a major event.
The Force5 is not for mere mortals, but a hard core hammerhead would appreciate the aerodynamic benefits.
I have not ridden a Burley, but I have a Rans Wave with similar low pedals that is really easy to ride.
