Classic & Vintage - Looking for a Suntour V-GT rear derailleur

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
If any of you have an old Suntour V-GT rear derailleur that they want to get rid off, please let me know.
The one I have on my Miyata 610 is broken and I would prefer to replace it with the same model.
Thanks

A Vx is a racing derailleur; the V-GT is a touring derailleur (and a very highly regarded touring derailleur at that).
Here's the catalog. (http://www.yellowjersey.org/stour80a.html)

vgt-luxe was all alloy, and much lighter.
neighborhood bike works in philly has buckets of them, but they dont really ship, as they're not really a shop
The V-GT is a good one; it's the first upgrade I did on my Atala circa 1975. Still working fine.
The 'bay is full of them.

Is that close to where you are? If so, could you get one for me?

Looked on Ebay, but I could not find one. I saw an add for a GT, which is the short-cage version, I think.

Keep looking. They turn up frequently on Ebay.
I just picked up a Raleigh branded VGt on yard cleanup day http://users.cis.net/coldfeet/granprix2.JPG

$5 each at Recycled Cycles in Seattle in the used bin.

Unless you're dead-set on a V-GT, a Cyclone or Mountech would swap right in, and shift better.
I thought the Mountech had 'issues'?

I'm always the last to know... :(
It would be a long ride for me to go Seattle to pick one up.
Can you get one for me?

I know I could use something else, it is just that I want to keep the bike with its original components if possible.
