Mountain Biking - Spring Forum Ride, It was ON!!!

I just got in from 3 days of awsome riding.The weekend went down with great riders, killer bikes,incredible trails and one heck of a great time.The crew was Mtnbiker66,Girlscout 13,Hambone40,Gastro,Highrevs,WheelieMert,and the last of the dog men. 7 riders from good to killer in their riding abilities.We rode trails in Pisgah and Dupont,I don't know how many miles and I really don't care.We had no medical or mechanical issues which was good.
Friday was spent riding Daniel ridge and Caney Bottom, It was some of the guys first time in Pisgah and they were all smiles and grins.Saterday was spent in Dupont riding some awsome trails and Sunday was spent on Black(pin it) Mtn. Weather was great,mostly sunny and about 65 to 70f. For those who didn't come, you freakin' missed it! A freeride session went down on Sat night with some awsome riding. Highrevs will post pics of that later. I can tell you all that Gastro, Highrevs and their crew are some killer riders. I'll post a few pics now and more to come. I cant wait to see what highrevs has on his camera..:D

Word! Looks great! It's been raining most of the weekend here.:( Things are getting sorted out, tho. Hopefully I'll be back out there sooner rather than later.

Oh MY Dang, It was on!!!! The riding was awesome, the people were awesome, the terrain was beautiful and the weather was great... I am so tired today I can barely think.

I snagged the point’n’shoot camera from the office. Unfortunately, I took it out of my pack about three times the whole weekend. My focus was on riding more so than photos.

No armor because I don't air out his bigger ledges like some folks. Day 2 with him got nixed by his stomach flu so we were forced to hit Amasa-Pothole Arch-Rockstacker-Jacksons.

As an educator, I am shocked you people would let that little fellow ride without a helment. I was surprised enought to see you grown men doing crazy, unsafe tricks with out brain protection, but really, allowing that poor, non skilled kid to drop off a table with no helment. The humanity, what were you people thinking.....ohhhhh yea, never mind...I was standing about three feet away when he did it. My bad....dang that trip was off the hook.

That is called killing time until we can ride again. We were trying to catch supper for our pet Yeti(Gastro). The Yeti really is a kind and gentle creature. He had an opportunity to run over me during a wreck, and instead, he crashed himself to avoid killing me. So, rest assured, the Yeti has malice for no man...not even Hank Reardon.

Yeti is a good beast. Friendly and kind. I won't have to worry about him running into me when he comes for a visit, I will be behind him the entire way hahaha

He did some of that...but I think he decided drinking beer and relaxing by the fire was a better idea. He is an advanced Yeti... and a freaking good down hill rider.

Yes he is a good downhiller. I saw him disapear on black mtn. I had the ol' bullit wound out and he just dropped me.Don't worry Mael just keep him fed and he'll be fine. That crash that Hambone was talking about was something to see.

You'll love it. I got a couple of runs (HA...3.5 hours of downhill) last year and wasn't in the condition or skill level to really give er. But I have a couple of buds that can ride it clean. He always has the truck, just need to arrange the time :D...I just need to arrange a payment of some fun stuff to my buddy who will do the shuttle part :)

I have to say, with my new bike and lots of time I am pretty stoked about this year. Its been 5 months since the trails were open and I was able to ride...been the longest 5 months of my 3 years on a bike haha
