What to do to keep myself entertained?

It's freaking 45 Degrees outside right now, sunny, and no snow.

I took an 11 foot drop - to - flat (concrete) last night down at the local skate park on my BigHit Comp.

I am now typing this with my leg elevated on a stool.. as I dream of riding again.

I took the drop w/o a problem.. however my foot slipped off the left pedal right before landing, and I "pile-drived" my leg into the concrete.

I am in SOO much pain right now.

Everyone go out and RIDE AND HAVE FUN for me!

Do some upper body exercises. (I have been there and you need to do something. I injured my ankle several times playing bball)

Visualize. It sounds stupid but just imagine the perfect run. Go over it over and over again gaining more detail and watching yourself closely. Look for mistakes and clean them up. It helps...

Take you time and rest. Ankles are pretty fragile don't jump in tooo quick :)

Big Hit best of luck in your recovery. Perhaps you could field strip your bike, clean it and put it back together again just for the educational experience?

That sucks man. I broke my leg a while back and was in a cast foe 3 months so i know how it is. Basically i lived on the computer seeing as it was a pain in the ass to go everywhere; including the ****ter. as a matter of fact it hurt so bad i was constipated for 2 weeks b/c it hurt so bad to do anything with it, and i broke it in may, i was out of riding for 6 mos then winter came and didnt ride so. Basically just find easy ways to keep yourself amused otherwise you'll be bored as hell.

by the way how bad was it really broken?

Ya still have one good foot, right? Well get a clipless pedal and ride with your good foot locked in.:p

Injuries that keep you out of action suck. How long are you going to be down? Hell, if you have a Platstation you could get some cycling games and imagine your self doing some of those sick stunts.:D

Heal fast.

Bummer man! Well look at it this way, at least it happened in the dead of winter so you have lots of time to heal before summer gets here. Take care dude.

I saw a t-shirt that explains it all. Quoth (yes I said quoth) "Chicks dig body damage!"

Here's a pic of me and my busted-ass ankle.

Come to find out I had to dislodged bones (doc numbed me up, and "pushed" them back into place.... goddang that hurt).

And I have 1 bruised bone, and my ankle was twisted.

Oh well.

Ooof! lol.

Dude you've got it easy. I was in a cast from my toes to my mid thigh for a month, toes to knee for another and toes to calf for the third. Then i had to wait for the whole bone density thing to come back so just keep off and let it heal right otherwise you'll only f*ck it up more

Hell, you could place that spiffy recumbant trainer infront of the window and just imagine.:p

Your injury sucks but if they did not wrap ya in a cast it is not that bad. You should be back soon. You young 'un heal quickly.

Man I had worse. I flew into a tree once during a MTB race when I was just getting started. Missed that turn, went to sharp and boom I'm in the tree with a twisted ankle, broken leg, and fractured wrist.

hey big hit if you're older why dont you just give him a reason to leave you alone for a while like...............................................give him a charlie horse in the leg or get something thats a yard long and everytime he goes near you smack the **** out of him with it.

when can you ride again?

BigHit-Maniac

Wassup Peter.

That sounds like a plan! lol.

As far as riding goes.. I can do "around the block" rides tommarow.. if I really want to... (which I probably will.. only for a few mins)..

Doc' said I had to keep the air-cast on for 3 weeks  ...... so that really sucks.

He said it'd be till the 17th when I go back for a checkup........ lol.

so.. for now.. I guess I can lightly ride.. but no offroad, and no jumps..
