Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

give me ur opinion on who u think makes the best downhill and freeride bikes without the cost of the companys bikes
Depends on the bike but my personal favorites are Specialized's Demo 9 or Kona Stinky Deluxe for Freeride or Kona's Stab Deluxe or Giant Glory for Downhill.
Of course, I'm forgetting a lot of bikes, those were the first that popped in my head.

A lot of the smaller name brands make some awesome bikes. Intense, Orange, Yeti, Turner, and so on.

Kona.
Hmmmmmmmm nice thread...... there is no better comapny than anyone else for DH and freeride..... Imean we all know that the Santa Cruz V10 is a way better bike than the Yeti 303 which is a way better bike than the Orange 224 and Kone Stab Supreme  All the manufacturers top line bikes are so on par with each other none could be said to be better than the others.

That is not totally true. Every so often one of those bikes comes out with a nasty arse paint scheme so it would not be quite as nice as the others.:p
