Mountain Biking - first post for some good advice
Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
hey everyone. i need help with a decision that im sure most of you will not find a problem to answer. im new to the sport and im learning there is a lot to know in order to fully appreciate the sport. my issure is this. i have 2 options for a free bike. actually there are several options, but ive narrowed it to these 2. 1 is a jeep cherokee classic, which i know from reading here, isnt everyones favorite. the second is a fuji sundance 4500. i know that these arent professional quality by any means, but they are free, and im brand new. im sure i will get the bug and upgrade very quickly, but for now i need your advice on which would be better for me to get started in the woods. thanks for your help.
p.s. in order for them to be free i have to order them from a rewards thing thru the vendors i work with. i havent ridden either of them..
I've heard that bikes made/named after cars like Jeep, Hummer etc. aren't really good bikes. I'd go with the Fuji just because they are a recognized bicycle manufacturer.

No idea what a "Jeep" bike is or where it comes from. Fuji is a bike company, they've got telephones and offices and a factory and stuff.

Never by a Jeep bike...I used to have on...still have the frame in the garage and the frame alone weighs more than my whole bike now...near the end the only way to change gears was to get off and put the chain on the gear you want...crappiest design I have ever ridden (felt like riding a bmx)...and all round S**T!!!
PS The frame was built like a tank though!
