Duct tape and chopsticks...Should work fine. If you don't know what the chopsticks are for, you're not a real mechanic.

:roflmao:
You're fine, just a little duct tape is all you need. :)

How do you do that? I've never taken a pedal apart because I don't know what I would need to put it back together again and anyway, you can buy new pedals cheaply enough.
lol, you can always move the other half of the bike back to where it belongs in photoshop.

Well at this point it looks like he needs a new bike. Moral ofthe story, fix one thing at a time.

Well first you have to disconnect your rear triangle from the front triangle...

From the beginning...I still do not understand what was wrong with the frame in first place!?

I don't see anything wrong at all -most of my projects look just about like that at the halfway point.
I'm currently in the process of refurbishing an old Dahon folding bike, so my frame is in two pieces, too!
I would say, "yes". There is far too little newspaper for a carpet with such a light color. This kind of work is better suited for doing on carpets that are already trashed, garage floors, or one of those cool grease absorbing mats. Notice the walls are white, too. I hope that you were not doing the work in a coat and tie. Ties tend to get caught in the chain. Very bad if working on a fixie.

That bolt cutter looks a little dubious. . .didn't use it in the "acquisition" phase by chance?

I guess he used it to chop the frame in half...

Those of you who think you know what you are doing are very annoying to those of us that do.
Enjoy

Hose clamps are meant for hoses. What you need, my friend, are pipe couplers.

No Bekologist, You are NOT in too deep. In fact you are not in deep enough. Now, you need to take apart three additional bikes, all on the same carpet so the parts become inter-mixed. Then you put all four bikes back together. When finished, you can sell all the extra parts on ebay and buy a fifth bike. Then repeat the process with all five bikes.
In no time you'll have a bike empire!

Just be glad it happened in your house, not on the street when you were riding on...in front of....under...over.....under....over....next to the bike. Ouch!

dude, that's not how they make unicycles.
Bekologist you're doing just fine. Repacking pedals looks like that about 1/4 of the way through. Just finish the pedal job and you're done. A few months worth of evenings should see you through.
If you're not going to finish the pedals, I'm willing to take that saddle off your hands FOR FREE. No need to pay me anything.

A cutting torch does not belong in a bicycle tool kit.
