I'm in Canada and have the same problem--cycling.tv OLN coverage is not available to us either.

Last year I got video coverage from an Italian site (which I muted) while simultaneoulsy listening to English audio from Eurosport. Here are the links that worked last year:

Italian Live Video Feed: http://www.raisport.rai.it/pub/sezione/raiSportSezioneIndex/0,5785,_407_143_7370,00.html
English Audio: http://eurosport.com/ (go to Cycling: Giro d'Italia LIVE Audio Now! [it appears only during the stages])

Good luck!

The Giro is going to be broadcast on RAI international in Canada. OLN does not have the rights to the Giro for Canada. RAI is $2.45 a month.

That site is US only. It won't work with Foreign IP adresses.

sounds good. I have been surfing the RAI site and have been unable to find anything about the broadcast of the Giro for 2006 though. Can anyone provide a link?

thanks

Hi Doc,

Where do you get it from for $2.45 /Month? I've checked with our cable company (Shaw) and RAI International is not listed anywherre as a cable or digital service channel.

The rights to the Giro are owned by Canal Evasion in Canada--a French travel channel. It's available for $2.49 on Shaw (channel 252 here on the Island). It is supposed to be shown 4 times daily. I don't speak French, but I just signed up for the month. Hey, it's the Giro! It's gonna be great!

Here is a link to live video coverage (for free). Of course, it's in Italian:
http://www.rai.it/giro2006
During the stage, click on "Guarda la diretta TV della tappa." It cuts out quite a bit for me, but maybe you'll have better luck.
When available, mute the Italian and get the live English audio from Eurosport.com.

I listen to the Eurosport feed in the mornings.

However, it is now the work week ...........

Anyone know the URL for the Eurosport feed, I would like to set the computer to record the feed so I can listen to it later, when I get home.

Thanks Iffacus! That link works way better than the one I was using. Although the video quality is a bit lower, it's nice that it plays consistently for more than a few seconds! Combined with the English audio from Eurosport, it makes for an excellent FREE option.

They usually put a link into the LIVE update - but I haven't noticed it there on weekends.
