I am a back on the bike after about 18 years absence from knee problems. I have learned not pushing the gears I can ride a decent distance, not to mention a friend at a local pharmacy that gave me some ointemnt that gives great relief from discomfort. I started with 2 Thai made mtb that just never felt right. We found a shop here in Udon that has a limited but decent variety of US brands. A new Mongoose Trax Elite for me, a Giant Boulder SE for my wife and we ride almost daily. We live out of the town a short distance and ride thru farms and small villages receiving many "hellos" and that famous Thai smile, first from the kids now from the adults. The terrain is mostly flat but crossing the dry rice paddys is an okay challange for an out of shape 67 year old with a 30 year old mind.
