Classic & Vintage - Peugeot ID

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I've been wanting to put together a fixie for short city trips so I found this Peugeot that my LBS is going to convert for me. Just curious what it is.

Hi-res image here (http://static.flickr.com/49/139059780_778cdbad05_o.jpg).
I reckon that's probably the original Ava handlebars and Ideale seat, and I think the braze pattern places it in the early '60s? The tires are clinchers, and I don't know enough about cranks and gears to say whether or not those are original, but I suspect not. I don't really know much about old bikes, but I'm excited about this one, I think it'll be a lot of fun to ride and I can't wait to clean it up once they get the new gear set on.
Any of you more knowledgeable people have more info?

I think it is more likely late sixties (a good shot of the downtube decal would help). I think that decal matches my 1967, but can't see it well enough, and my computer explodes the hi-res photo... Also shots of the head tube badge would help. Check the serial #; six digits usuall indicates 60's, 7 digits indicates 70s.
I believe the model is an AO, or an earlier version. Check to see if the derailleur hanger is integral, or a bolt-on claw. The crank is a later switch-out, it looks like the old three arm Stronglight cranks Peugeot used on some model in the late seventies.
There doesn't seem to be a serial number anywhere - the bottom bracket is clean. Maybe it had an id plate that was removed?
The lug pattern on the head tube is what makes me think it is from the 60's, as I haven't seen that pattern on any later models, but I'm no expert. I've also read that the id plate thing was only used during the 70's. I don't know. On closer inspection, the handlebars are ITM, AVA wheels, Normandy hubs, Weinmann brakes.
It's a fun bike to ride, just kind of curious about it.
Here's some more pictures. High resolution ones are on flickr, here (http://www.flickr.com/photos/travis_nelson/sets/72057594139165150/).

Check for a serial number on the rear drop-outs. I have a very similar looking Peugeot, although the lugs aren't painted black and the fork is chromed, with a 4-digit serial number on the drop-outs.
