Mountain Biking - 2 questions: women's handlebars and trails!

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Hey there. I have posted this before but it was only a side-question to another inquiry. What is a good yet inexpensive pair of bars for my mountain bike, given that I am a full-time high school student and therefore I have little extra cash just hanging around? I would like women's specific bars, seeing that I am a smaller woman, and the bars on my B-17 are way to wide for me to even manuver. I would really appreciate some ideas, even if it's just a good website or something to go look at. Also, I live in southeastern CT, and all the trails I've been able to find for XC or single track are really lame and small, so if you have any ideas where some good trails are around CT, southern mass, or Rhode Island, feel free to let me know!! Thanks a bunch!

you can get your current bars cut to whatever width you would like. Just bring them to your local bike shop and have them cut them. They will probably do it for free
The biggest issue my wife has is her hand size. She uses ODI ruffians and has her brake levers adjusted inward for her small hand size.
Hope that helps
Oh yeah.trails in CT
