Environment canada just issued a wind warning for calgary of 60km/h winds with gusts of 80km/h. It should make for a fun commute home. I hate when big vehicles pass blocking the wind, then you swerve to adjust to the lack of wind, then they pass and the wind just about blows you into the next province.

We had those yesterday. Stupid me not only commuted, I went on a group ride across the flats bordering the bay.

The stars must have been aligned because the wind, get this, wait for it....was AT MY BACK! I flew home quicker than I ever have before, it was awesome. Unfortunately, the wind was still coming from the same direction in the morning and I had to fight it all the way here.

I've done that a couple of times.

The biggest wind I rode in was 100kms. Held me to a stand still at times.

It's not the end of the world, just something to work with, like anything else.
