anyone ever seen one? i didn't get a really good look, it was locked up outside of not ray's pizza on fulton (brooklyn) yesterday afternoon. red frame, black half tape on track drops...i didn't know that specialized made a track frame other than the langster, this one looked nice. anyone know anything about them?
More than likely was built by Konno in the early 80s, as Specialized farmed out a great deal of their steel Allez production to Japan.

There was a red one on eBay a few months back...definitely a Konno/Sanrensho built one, all built up with Campy...and it went for something stupid like $600.
edit: proof (http://www.bikeforums.net/showthread.php?p=1555914&highlight=specialized#post1555914)!
not ray's is a few doors down from 666 laundromat, so be careful when you're snooping around.

Some of the Allez bikes were made by Yoshi Konno/3Rensho, but a lot more of them were made by Miyata. I'm not sure if there's a way to tell.

somebody should pick that one up. larry is a good dude.
I inquired about that one a while ago. Larry said it would be verrry pricey because of the rarity.
$150... WTF?

I also asked him about it. Here is his response:
Thanks for the inquiry and interest in the SanRensho/ Specialized
That SanRensho is appraised at $1,900. It's the only one we have ever seen or know of. There are some SanRensho frames out there but not under the Specialized badge
I would rather have a custom...

So it didn't sell for $150 then?
the one on craigslist was complete for 150.
Yeah, Larry doesn't really want to sell his bikes. He's more of a collector than a sales guy...

OK, damn $150 is a major score.
