I've never used the big earl grips, but I stand by Big Earl, I use big earl 2.5 DH tires, Crank and Bash Guard. Has held true givin the abuse I put on it.
I use Lizard Skin Lock-On's.
You want to go anything Lock-On. It is so much nicer than just spitting in your grip and getting it back on. Plus when it gets wet, the grip wont slide around on you at all. Lock-On is the way.
