Road Cycling - Post you and your bike

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

In the spirit of the mountain bikers, post a picture of yourself in action on your roadbike.
This is me May '02 at the Tour De Cure, San Antonio to Austin.
The only decent picture someone's taken of me while riding was during the STP since they had a professional photography crew out. I purchased some postcard copies and scanned the proof.

Me (#7444) and best riding buddy at the 2001 Houston - Austin MS150. 260 members of Team Halliburton, along with over 9000 other riders. What a trip!
What's the distance of some of these races: Houston-austin, San Antonio-austin, Portland Seattle? Just curious. I'm guessing about a couple hundred miles?
The STP, Seattle-To-Portland ride, is 198.9 miles long. It's a two-day event, although in 2002 over 1300 riders did it in one day. Over 7000 riders, heavy en-route support, great food all the way, and a heck of a party at the end make for a great weekend. I did it in 2001, and my wife and I are going to do it this year. You can find out more about it here: http://www.cascade.org/EandR/STP.cfm

Wabbit, the Tour de Cure from S.A. to Austin is just over 100 mi over 2 days. The MS 150 from S.A. to Corpus Christi is about 150 mi, also over 2 days. Actually, they are more like fun rides than races, since most people take a pretty relaxed pace.

The Houston - Austin ride is about 180 miles. 100 miles to La Grange and a tent city the first day, and on to Austin on Sunday. Good pics on web site: www.ms150.org
