anyone ever get achilis tendonitis or rupture?
After my last half marathon I have been very slow to get back on the run, bike riding is fine though , kinda makes it tough to get enough training i for the upcoming season
HUGE difference between Achilles tendonitis and a rupture. Rest and aspirin and/or non-steroidal anti-inflammatories are the ticket for the tendonitis. A surgeon is often need for the rupture.

Awhile back, I was diagnosed with achilles bursitis which is oftentimes confused with achilles tendonitis. Generally, what TysonB said is true for the rehab of both, lots of ice (or in my case bags of frozen veggies) and ibuprofen will cool off the inflammation. I had to miss the half I was training for, but luckily cycling proved to be a huge part of the PT during recovery. That being said, if it turns out to be a rupture, thats alot more serious, and definitely an entirely different animal. Good luck with your MRI!
