That's it. I'm getting the Sugino 75's. My chainring for the RD's is pretty damn round--but then today I noticed that it's not true at all! It wavers back and forth a couple mm. Grrrrrr...
Any of you have this problem too?

It's a common problem with lower end chainrings.
Go 75, you'll feel a world of difference instantly.
They're great.

Tighten your chainring bolts, and then bend it true. You just saved $200.

if it wavers back and forth, it could be your spider.
that can be fixed with a mallet. seriously. done it w/ no problem.

My chain ring looks bent too, but I've taken it off and layed it on a flat surface and its pretty true. Also try moving the crank to a different position on the spindle, and if it still bends in the same spot, it the spider (not the spindle). Look on sheldon brown's site...
