My husband is planning on doing the Paris - B?? - Paris in August. Does anyone have any info on this?
 Is there an english website where I can look into it? Has anyone done it? Any tips are appreciated.
Take a look at the Randonneurs USA website. http://www.rusa.org
Paris-Brest-Paris. Has he entered any of the qualifying events yet? I believe there are 2 or 3 held in North America every year. You can't just show up and run, you know-this is a professional event, open only to those who qualify. A service crew would be an absolute neccesity, too.
It is a requirement to have completed the required series of qualifying rides (200, 300, 400 and 600 km.).
At the finish of a 400 km. ride, the local organisers will supply you with the registration documents and the detailed regulations.
On completion of your 600 km. ride and after the 10th. June (date to be confirmed), you will be able forward your completed entry form to the organisers.
Do not delay as the entries must be with the organisers before 5th July for the French riders and 15th July for the non-French. (dates to be confirmed)
For whom ?
The total number of riders is limited to 3500.
All riders must be at least 18 years old on the day of the event.
Priority will be given to club members affiliated to the FFCT (excluding individuals), ex racing licence holders of at least 2 years. Affiliation to Ufolep and FSGT-cyclotouristes admitted. Non French riders will be accepted as being members of the FFCT.
How much does it cost ?
The entry fee will be in the order of 515 Francs (78.5 Euro) for the French. For the non-French the fee will be between 550 Francs (84 Euro) and 600 Francs (91 Euro).
What is not allowed ?
Flashing diode lighting is not permitted, they can mesmerise following riders.
Tri-bars or similar additions (type Spinacci, as made illegal by the UCI).
Following vehicles, which will lead to immediate disqualification.
Assistance from non competing riders.
Holders of a professional or national racing licence within the last two years.

The brevet series starts here in Feb with one or two a month 200k, 300k, 400k, 600k & 1000k.
A member of our cycling club has done the PBP 3 times, and schedules the brevets in our area. I was just trying to get more information about the event itself.
