I'm toying with getting my 8 year old an '06 Haro CSR? CRS? I's the little one, white frame, single brake. Anybody have any feedback from a kid brother or sister that rides one?

Can you post a link to Haro's site so we can get specs, and see some pics...
Also, how big is he/her and are they interested in jumping, or just riding?

I decided to stop being lazy, and looked at the bike on Haros site, its nice, but its more a race bike then a ride around the neighborhood/beginner jumping bike...

I figured as much with the price point.....
They might be building a track here in Toronto this summer.
She's totally outgrown her current bike and I don't want to get her a tank of a bike.
She's mixed filipino/swiss..... tiny girl. Just asking in the forum where I'd find the rippers.
I've seen some (young/little) girls rip it up at the track. They're usually easier on their bikes, and not into big air and tricks. She'll be fine.
She'll love it. Race bikes are much cooler than heavy tank bikes anyway.

A kid in my neighborhood just got a Redline that looks like that.. it's ******edly light, you can lift it over your head with one pinky.
My neighbor got his kid one (actually, now that I think about it, I paid for it, he must have paid me back) used at the track for something crazy like AU$140. I was afraid to sit on it. Sick light.

wow, its got euro bb and intergrated chain tensioners!
All race bikes seem to have integrated chain tensioners.

why dont all street bike have them? The only one i know that does is the Fly 3 Amigos Frame
Because not everyone needs them. If you've ever raced, you'd know how hard a good snap at the gate is on your drivetrain. Besides, the integrated tensioner is usually just a little nut and bolt at the seatstay/chainstay junction. They're more like adjustable stops to keep your axle from moving forward, which makes them the opposite of a street or DJ tensioner, which pulls the axle back.

I know of at least 2 or three others that have them, but i cant for the life of me think of them..
The point is, lost of trail/park/street frames have them, and a large majority of race frames do.
