I ordered a $15 stem and they sent me the wrong stem that they sell for $45. Does Nashbar pay shipping for the return? Should I sell the stem and buy the right one? I really wanted the right one obviously, and I paid for 2 day shipping. Dang it!!!

Call them. If it's their error, they should pay for the return shipping. You should also check your invoice/packing slip to make sure they didn't sub out the $45 stem for the $15 stem.

This is what I would do. Ask yourself if you really need advice on something as simple as this. If the answer is yes, maybe you should seek help.

I'd also push for free expedited shipping on the correct item being sent to you, and some sort of coupon/credit note to compensate for the fact they they didn't get the urgent item you wanted out in the first place.

Companies making mistakes gives them a chance to show what their customer service is REALLY like. A good company should relish the opportunity to rapidly put things right, and then some.

OK. Do you think I should see a psychiatrist or a psychologist, or maybe a plastic surgeon?

Contact them. With the cost of shipping it back to them and your item back out, as well as the potential of angering a customer with a delay, I would put the chances of them telling you to keep it at better than average.
