That's nice, but it's still too freaking humid in the summer and cold in the winter to bike ride year round in Iowa.
Rails to Trails are nice, and so is the lack of significant hills. However you don't see this at the county/state/city line. Of course, riding a bike across town, even in a place like Des Moines takes maybe an hour, where it would take 2-3 here.

The only thing I agree with is it being to cold in the winter to ride. Humidity doesn't bother me, bring it on, the more heat & humidity the better. As long as I have plenty of water to drink I thrive in it.

None of the trails in the Siouxland area are Rails to Trails, as far as I know.
